Park point bayside is toast for the season. The Coast Guard cutter Alder made an icebreaking trip down the bay and messed up the ice in the channel and the force also broke it up along the park pioint shore.

A possible Duluth optioin is Wild Rice Lake just north of the airport. Go north on Rice Lake Road (cty rd 4) 3 miles past Martin road. Take a left on Rice Lake Dam Road to the public access. On Tuesday it still looked rideable. So did Sturgeon.
