Looking for a weekend kite getaway?

Just talked to the people at The Red Door Resort on the North Shore of Mille Lacs Lake. There winter rates for 2 bedroom cabins are $79.95. Motel rooms are around $50.

There road access fee is $10 if you are not staying. The road access fee is waived for guests. We are going to check the rooms and riding tomorrow...

I'm thinking we will probably ride Mille Lacs. Right now that North shore can't be beat as long as there is Windage!!

I wanted to put in a plug for the Red Door also. They were very good to me when they dragged my butt in at the 2003 crossing. They have very nice rooms for the price, unlike others around Garrison.

I wouldn't want to aggravate them by not paying the access fee, if you can believe what the TV investigative reporters say
