Of course the Upper Peninsula of Michigan always has snow and is only six hours away. Stroh had gone out there and he said he was riding on probably 5 feet of powder. I just remembered that and I thought it would interest people and the UP is usually forgotten so yeah just a reminder.
Just hit the UP today, Snow and Ice conditions are looking good at most spots. The bay at Marquette is pretty choppy, with ice ridge conditions, but 1/2 hour up the road the snow is a foot deep and untracked at Teal Lake. The snow on the fields is adequate with enough coverage to not hit bottom, but the cover is thin enough for weeds and small bushes to still push through. All in all it looks like the UP will hold some good snowkite terrain for as long as it stays cold, and it was only 20 when we left Teal lake today.
