I'm skipping work tomorrow and meeting Jason by Izaty's for a day of kiting on Mille Lacs tomorrow. Should be a good time with wind and maybe even a little bit of new snow tonight?

Well if the wind blows next week, I'll ride with you. I have until next thursday off and I live about 15 minutes from Sturgeon Lake. Let me know next week if you go!
I might join you guys. Depends upon how much snow we get down here and if if looks like it is bonding to the ice. They are calling for stronger winds down here, but right now we have nothing on the ice.
Looks like tons of wind and snow mixed in, 13 to 17 mph, 60% chance of snow, I don't know if it's just supposed to be in the morning or afternoon though?
Yeah I guess. I've never been there either. Jason told me at Izaty's when you come to a y in the road, go left down a steep hill to the ice. Hopefully not too hard to locate. I'll be there by 10 for sure. See ya there!
The new forecasts are in and it looks like we'll maybe get a bit less snow, but the winds are still looking sweet. Anyone know if Mille lacs has any snow cover now? A few inches of fresh powder would be nice.
Izaty's is pretty small. Pretty easy to figure things out. Be sure to stop in and support the resort by buying some grub on your way in or post session. They're excited about working with Jason and Melissa to build a terrain park that would be up all winter. It would be a great weekend get away to go up and rent one of the condos and ride right out your door.
If the weather cooperates in the morning, I hope to head up as well.
I have all day tomorrow and I was wondering if you guys think I could use my 3m Little Devil. Being that my dog decided to pull me around by my frenzy, I have no big kite to use.
