Rent a Training kite.

Post by rudeboysaude »

Hey all.

I stopped by Midwest Mountaineering's page today because I'm dreaming of the spring runoff for kayaking and saw they have a free kite demo tomorrow. Cool thing I noticed though was you can rent training kites from them for 10 bucks a day! What a sweet way for people to learn kiting basics without shelling out money on a tiny kite you might never use again. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone was interested in learning and has limited fundage.

Hey All,

Just to let you know - the demo will be very low key. They'll have three Ozone Imp trainers and maybe a 3 and or 5 meter Samurai out depending on the wind. Basically it'll just be to show how to fly kites in general. But as Aaron said, the idea of renting a trainer rather than buying one and never using it is pretty cool.

Hey Twill.

I saw it at http://www.midwestmtn.com It's not in the same spot it was before because March is their Whitewater Kayak month and I can't blame them for that! Thinking about spring run off is as exciting as the first snow fall for kiting! Anyway, get in touch with them for renting a trainer.

Right on. Thanks! I had poked around and didn't see ANYTHING on the site about renting a kite. Guess I'll just have to swing into the shop! ... Hope I don't end up buying a Kayak!!!
