Conditions for the Kitefreeze

Hey guys!

I thought I would ask you guys about the local current conditions on lake Minnetonka. How much snow is there? Is it looking good for the weekend?

oh I forgot to ask also...
anybody got suggestions on places to stay that's a little cheaper than the Sheraton that the Kitefreeze organisation suggested?

Any suggestions would be really really appreciated.

Not sure of exact costs though you should be able to get a cheaper room at a Days Inn, Excell Inn, Best Western, Country Inn. Might check Orbitz or Travelocity. Not sure if you will have a car or not. The site is on the West side of town. Anything on Highway 394 would be convenient since it runs from downtown out to Wayzata. 494 (our beltline) on the west side would be close as well. If you don't have a car and end up on 394, I could easy give you a ride to the event since it is right on the way. Not sure what they are going to do with competor's gear, since they are limiting cars on the ice.

I hear the conditions on the lake are very good. They are working to build up the course this week. We've had great snow over the last few weeks.

Great info Tighe! Thanks a lot. We're driving there leaving tomorrow morning, so should be there tomorrow night. We'll check out the places you mentioned.
