Re: Crossing Times

YOU GUYS ARE ALL AN INSPIRATION! I'm only sad I wasn't there to witness it. But seriously, my Mom always warned me about fast women. Now I know what she was talking about. I'm sure she had Liz & Vicki in mind, but Kate & Katey? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. :? Mega Dittoes on Jenn's superb eye b...

Re: Recommendation for snowkiting gloves

Clearance rack ski gloves for $5/Pr. @ Menards. Cost makes 'em disposable, and in my case lose-able. Pam found mittens, that fold open to reveal fingerless gloves inside. Great for rigging lines while saving fingers.

Re: Ruben Lenten joins Best Kiteboarding

YUP. Their C is called the GP. Our local Hero, Alex Peterson, left SS and rode Best for a time. I heard it was because he felt they hadn't given him credit for many of the innovations he had originated. If you've ever felt the G-forces on when boosting on a Nemesis, you'd know why.

U d' MAN, Barry! My legs are noodles after about 15 minutes. Guess I'll have to reconsider my Beer & Naps winter training regimen. Maybe two beers between naps would increase my endurance. I'll keep you posted. :?

Re: SPI rental recommendations

I like the Travel Lodge. Close to the flats. You can park outside your room. Waffles for breakfast. No snoring roomies. Not too fancy, but okay for a week of riding. Usually about $40/night.

AWESOME ALEX! Almost inspiring enough to think about going back to windsurfing, especially with your skillset. Loved the part where you were bumping off those tasty ramps, and your buddies were waving at the camera. Hope you'll post more, it did my heartrate good.

Re: What do you do to cross train?

THANX FOR ADDING SOME HUMOR TO THE POST! I have long advocated the wearing of thongs beneath the harness, but none of the female contingent would take my suggestion. I thought when Madonna wore her bra on the outside, that opened it up to virtually anything! Isn't a wetsuit nothing but a giant...

Re: What do you do to cross train?

ON THE THEORY, that the less wear and tear the better, plenty of 8 oz. curls followed by extended naps. I am doing my best to develop the hibernation mutation and be able to sleep through Mn's long winters. Somebody, please give me a wake up call this spring. :?

BUNNY HILL?

 Last season I graduated from flat lakes to hilly farm yard. Those peaks from out west look intimidating to me. I can't imagine gettiing stuck & having to trek back to base in waist deep snow, at least not without a defibulator. Where is a good locale to learn the basic techniques before t...

CHAD, U can test drive mine if I'm out. Otherwise, ALOT of windsurfers have freeskates, and the sail rigs, etc, that are no longer in use. I can put you in contact if you want. Leave a mssg on my cell or look for me on WBL. PAUL F, Saw Portland as your location, so... :? Went out at Mahto this after...
