SPI rental recommendations

I gained a great friend (Felix) in Hood River! He's a Kiter from San Francisco. He's heading to
Padre for the first time and would like some recommendations on Lodging. What Hotels and condo's have you guys had good experiences at? Patty and I were RVer's so we don't feel comfortable
giving a particular place as a recommendation. I greatly appreciate your help with this.

Jim, can't help with hotels, but we may have a bed in our rental house on Cora Lee for $35/night.

I like the Travel Lodge. Close to the flats. You can park outside your room. Waffles for breakfast. No snoring roomies. Not too fancy, but okay for a week of riding. Usually about $40/night.
