Hi Jeff, Stay connected to the board like BMR says. Keeping the board under you're feet prevents twisting injurys(ACL & fractures) which could occur if one or both feet release. I use Switch type step-in bindings which require compatable boots. These I can step in while kite is in zenith. :) On ...

Try you're local welding shop. I don't know about polished. That might take some old fashion elbow grease action.

Is someone thinking about grinding an edge on the angle and applying it to some kind of speed contraption?

Hey, No Fear Matt.

A 1st aid kit is always a good idea to have. CPR & 1st. aid training is just good plain knowledge to have to assist friends, family and human kind.

I bet you still had that grin on you're face, even though bleeding. :)

Ice could be super smooth. Sharpen the blades and stay clear of layed out kite lines.

I have repaired my battlescar Flexifoil bridle lines several times. Since I've been an archer for many years, I had found that bowfishing spectra line in 100-200lb. test works well. This can be purchased at a minimal cost at any sport shop that sells archery supplies. Nice to keep in tackle box for ...

I had a fun solo time with my Freeskate. I have an extra one, but couldn't talk Eric in joining me. There was consistent 4" of black ice and I sailed with 4.5m. sail. There is a unique thrill in gliding over the smooth surface with just the sound of wind and a faint ticking of the blades scorin...

Hey Wild Bill, Long time, no see. The wisest/safest thing to do with a worn line is to replace it. For an emergency tie, Alex P. recommends using (fisherman's knot) for the strongest knot. Invest in a 500' spool of orange 600lb. Q-Powerline. Prices vary from 100-200 per spool, so shop around. With Q...
