Not sure if this will help a whole lot. You guys probably already got most of the article from the automatic translators, but I thought that I'd stretch those rusty French muscles and hand translate the article. Winded! You would have to be a morning person this Tuesday on the site of Semnoz to be a...

Today's Wx
For those who were out today, here's what the weather was like. Those graphs were for Minneapolis, but Waconia should be pretty close, and I think that Cannon will not be too far either. http://www.users.qwest.net/~fkunedenis/wind/OutsideTempHistory.gif http://www.users.qwest.net/~fkunedenis/wind/Wi...

I was curious to see how gusty and shifty the wind was. Here's a look at some logs: http://www.users.qwest.net/~fkunedenis/wind/HiWindSpeedHistory.gif http://www.users.qwest.net/~fkunedenis/wind/HiWindSpeedHistory.gif http://www.users.qwest.net/~fkunedenis/wind/WindDirectionHistory.gif Talk about sh...

Hey Hunter. I just started this winter on a Windwing440 (4.5m). It was the perfect size for a beginner. It looks like the Slingshot B4 is approximately the same price, but the 440 is bigger (4.5m v/s 4m). The Frenzy 5m is more expensive but it has a lot more room to grow with you as you become more ...

Hey Eric, don't let my expereince drive you away from the Frenzy. It is really a super kite. After talking to Larry and Tighe, it sounds like this is probably a fluke. I am having an awesome time with my 7.3 and I would definitely recommend it. Just make sure you inspect the kite before launching it...

Ripped Cell
Just got an Ozone Fenzy 7.3 and I flew it a couple of time. On friday when I was trying to launch the kite, I noticed some tangles. I parked the kite, detangled the bridles and tried to relaunch. At this point, I noticed a weird right turn everytime I sheet out. Seemed like the only way to get the k...

Calhoun report
Wow! Super deep snow at Calhoun. I was trying out a 7.3 Frenzy in 10-15mph wind. I was just rippin'! N wind is not optimal, but not too bad either. Just as I was packing to go home at 11:00, when Peter and Tom showed up with 9.5 and 16m(?) inflatable. Two other kiters came around the same ...

Yeah, I agree with Tighe that a Windwing 440 (4.5m) was barely enough to ride. Had a tough time going upwind and I could certainly not jump. In the conditions we had this weekend, I think that a slingshot B-6 would do nicely. Also, Michael, I'll be in NYC next week, so if you want to borrow my kite ...

No air
After the second day of no-jumping on my snowboard, I wanted to ask you guys how you do it. The only bunny hops I was able to get was on ice skates. I tried the techniques I have read about, i.e. gather some speed, send the kite back towards zenith and feel the pull. Being a newbie, I have a small 4...

Yeah, Calhoun was real pool. Being new to the whole kiting thing, I did quite a bit of belly sliding and spent the rest of the afternoon with half of the lake in my clothes. Had a great time though. Sunny with good temps and I am just learning to jump. (Thanks for the tips, Tighe!) Since I am not ve...
