Re: UPDATING
It looks like this update will allow posts from windows mobile internet explorer smart phone browser. I could not post on previous version. 99% of my browsing is from my phone. Always hated having to fire up my laptop to make a post. I hope the formating shrinks the font size down so I can fit more ...

Tighe, Thanks for putting this together. My six year old had a blast with a 2-meter kite until the wind dropped just a bit. After that, he became quickly frustrated and his attention span waned. Thanks again for borrowing me one of your 3-meter kites, it really made all the difference. While my son ...

Hey Randy, Good to here from you. I just asked my brother how you were doing last week. He did not know you had started kiting; Glad you did. With your boarding skills, you should be ripping in no time. You are correct in that I intended to use Ed's beach as a launch. but given yours and others reco...

Thanks Chris. your warnings about are well taken and much of the reason i believe this sport is less accesable. I have a small advantage on WBL in that I have relatives and friends on the lake that will allow me to use thier beaches as private launch sites providing the wind is correct. If the water...

Realistically I'll just be a weekend cruiser although I have dreams of much more. I suspect most of my riding will be on WBL. provided I can find enough newbie leeway to launch and land. I imagine for me that water kiting will be must less acccesable the snow kiting. Not only due to beach congestion...

thank you
Thanks everyone for your input. At least I know i'm in the ballpark a couple of more questions if i may. 1. What would you estimate our typical kiting wind range to be: 8-20, 12-25, 15-30... from my years of scow sailing on WBL i would estimate 8-20 2. At what minimum wind speed do you realistically...

Contact Tim Elverston at Windfire Designs. He fixed my Foil in 1 day and I had it back before the next weekend. need a new kite. opinions welcome.
I started kiting last winter on a foil and now want to continue this thrill into the warmer months. At this time and can only swing 1 kite and 1 board and am considering only bows/hybrids. So basically a 1 kite quiver for my 175Lbs in the majority of conditions we have locally. I have no experience ...

I was wondering the same thing yesterday, but since I have no other ride I went for it despite apprehension. I used a pair of Fisher Big Stix mid-fats 175CM, and found them quite difficult in the heavy snow and deep ruts at Bellaire. The ride was OK once I got up to speed and could blaze over the to...

White Bear today?
Anyone planning on hitting White Bear this afternoon?
I will try to get a ride in starting around 2:30-3:00. Ramsey is favored at the moment, but Bellaire will be nice if the wind shifts east as expected.
