OK things are looking pretty spectacular. The local news just put us in the 4-5" band by noon tomorrow with a nice solid breeze. I posted the details of the gathering on our local forum.

Re: Madtown Kite Gathering
The current conditions in Madtown: We had 2 inches of pretty heavy stuff the other day and today it got up to 40 today so it should be a nice smooth firm base layer. We are supposed to get around 3+ inches tonight/tomorrow and maybe a little more Friday night. If it doesn't drift too much it should ...

Re: What Is / Is There an Ultimate High Wind Kite?
Hi guys, I've flown a few different small kites in various high wind conditions and I will say the 8m Switch blade 2 or 3 from Cabrinha is my fav. It has tons of depower and steers well when sheeted out. I had problems with small TD's both with lack of steering when sheeted out and with inverting wi...

I'm glad you guys had a great time. Thanks for making the trek and sharing the stoke. Sorry we don't have any terrain. We will have to work that out this summer. I probably missed the best winds but I still had a great time. Not to brag but we are supposed ot get another 2-6 inches tonight and there...

I am very honored that you guys gave me prize. I was only riding for 2 hours and Ididn't even know there was a competition going on! The SB3 is just a super stable all around kite. I like it for wakestyle because I know where it is at all times. It is not wild like some of the freestyle kites. Its f...

Riding this weekend
I'm coming up from Madison for a conference in Minneapolis through Wed and I was hoping to get a little ride in one of these evenings. It looks like Sunday calls for a south breeze. What's the best place to go within an hour of downtown? thanks

Hi Denis, Good to hear you made it back. Too bad the compettion wind blew, eh I mean didn't blow. Its funny but I didn't hear anything about the competition results. Looked yesterday and couldn't find it anywhere. Went back to Sable after the first round and scored another 12 m sesson before heading...

I tried the crossbow in Madison unhooked and I had no problems doing wake tricks with the standard setup. The only thing I didn't like was the bar pressure. I reverse relaunched the bloody thing straight through the power and pushed the bar away.... barely any pull, amazing. In fact if you rigged a ...

Monona is warmer (I'd guess 45-50) since its been open for at least a week. Here are the launches we use for various directions: The 2 best spots just because they ...
