Re: Thursday
Pretty sick session on WBL this afternoon. Good, strong, fairly consistent/smooth winds for MN standards. Excellent vibe. The drifted in snow road and playground of snowmen and a snowcave to jump off made me smile. I can't wipe it off my face.
Some good company too. Enjoyed riding with you fellas.

Re: Wanted: Terrain Dead or Alive.....
Checked out Glacial Lakes State Park Saturday morning. Wind was blowing NW at 15-20. The area still needs about 6-8 more inches of snow to be ready to go. It is a mix of soft prairie grass, and these gnarly scrub offshoots that would be hard to ride through. The rideable terrain once filled in would...

" There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing. Get outside." quoted by Mom. I firmly believe that statement. I've been out numerous times this season. most of them in subzero weather. Your equipment is remarkably resistant as long as you don't tomahawk your kite into the snowp...

Re: Frozen pump
I use graphite powder. It doesn't gum up with sand in summer or freeze in the winter. You do have to apply it more often than regular lubricant, but a small tube goes a long way. I got mine at Hub Hobby, in the pine car derby area. Don't use WD40 or Liquid Wrench. It ate the rubber seals inside my o...

Anyone know of any good open terrain with rolling hills or any kite friendly geological features to play on within a reasonable drive from the metro? Would love to take advantage of Sunday's wind with a option other than flat ice. Thanks peeps. George L.

Re: My personal private kite spot
You might want to check out this spot by lacrosse, WI. I used to canoe here and there's a park. It's on the south side of Lake Onalaska on French Island. Probably a 1/2 hr drive from Winona. Nice point can be rode most directions. Might be weedy. near 3600 Lakeshore Dr La Crosse, WI 54603 http://map...

Well, 5 for 6 is pretty sweet. Had a impromptu session after eating lunch in Glen Arbor on monday in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lake Shore. The wind gods blessed us out of the blue and we rode with the dunes and North and South Manitou Islands as a backdrop. We had a marathon session yesterday at ...

Alone on a beach. Marquette Park. Gary, IN. Day one, drove all night and made beach at 10am. Winds on, waves 5-6 foot swells. Got a little publicity for the local scene.

Re: Lets gather at Mille this Thursday and Friday
I was at Reddy on Thursday and went to Malmo on Friday just for the lush grass and space to maneuver. Had the best couple days of progression on my board skills. Actually got to do some deep arcing carves for the first time. Mmmm tasty. Got to see a lot of people haven't seen in a while. Good fun. Y...

Ken I'm at malmo now going to check out reddy creek. Follow hwy 47/18 North till you reach 220th st. There will be a gas station and fireworks stand. Take a left on 220th and keep straight at the curve. You will run into a park. Thats malmos launch. George
