Neil Pryde Bat cam

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement batcam (the clear plastic cover that holds the batten in place). I cracked mine on my 1999 V8 Streetracer at Waconia. I tried Neil Pryde website and various google searches, but with no luck. If anyone has an old blown up NP sail that I could poach a ba...

Re: Very frustrating

The foils have no ridge internal structure where as the LEI (Like Slingshot Fuels) have a ridge frame. So when the big puffs hit the kite the LEI will hold it's shape. When the wind is blowing from the East on Tonka it can be a little puffy (to say the least). I was out a few weeks back on an Easter...

Re: Can you Windsurf on Lake Minnetonka or the St. Croix River

I've grown up on Mtka and windsurf all the time on the lake and love it. It's closer to the City then Waconia and there are very little weeds on the main lake vs. Weedconia Here are some places you can access Mtka 1) Robinson Bay Beach http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&geocode=&saddr...

Re: The Wac

ohhhh I can sooo relate to what Chanrider & Fred are saying. I was on Mtka Sat out of Poachie beach in Cottagewood. My 160L explosion with a 6.5 was HANDFUL. I had some great moments of thrill followed by shear terror,,,, then over the handlebars,,,, ouch. The constant feel I'm on the edge is so...

The usual suspects (Tonka Boyz) will be out at Kite island on mtka. The grill will be hot and the beverages flowing and the wind blowin'.

We night ride out at Kite Island on Minnetonka every Tuesday. You can drive your car out to the island. You'll want a helmet light. The links below are lights that work well.

Alex P on Kiteboarding TV

I just saw Alex P on Kiteboarding TV show on INHD (Channel 206 on Comcast). He spent a week kiting in the Virgin Islands and was hosted by Sir Richard Branson. WOW!!!! I am jealous. :D :D Branson bet that his nephew could win the race to Anegada island. The weather was light and no one could keep it...

Turtle Lake

Anyone going to be out at Turtle this weekend?? I was out at Buffalo this weekend for the DN regatta. Some sketch spots and the warm weather doesn't help. However, it's going to get COLD!!!! So by the weekend it should be fine.

Is Turtle a safe lake? No springs or things?

2003 Lakawa Awards - Gilligan's Island

Eric, I would definately take top honors for the Gilligan award after my epic 3 hr 22 min ride across Mill Lac's for the crossing. I technically got across in 1 hr 30min, but then it took me 2 hours to get up to the finish. Advice for next year to myself,,,, RIG BIG and bring my BIG board!!!! Will :...

I made it too

Timewalker, I love the GPS course plot. I was right behind you and followed you into that back bay 2 miles south of the finish. What a struggle to get to that damn finish. This was my first crossing attempt and I'm psyched that I made it. I want to thank all the people out there that supported us. I...
