I bought an extra set of tires for my board so I could put ice spikes in them. Haven't gotten around to doing it yet......

I was in ely for my valentines day. And the lakes there that I was on seemed to have really good coverage. And over the weekend about 4" more came down. There is a good crust but that was sufficiently covered with fresh. I was just dogboarding but wishing I had my kite with.

I'm only learning to fly a kite but have been surfing for the last 3-4 years. I would think for the average person a typical shortboard style with a thruster fin setup would be ideal for kite use. As these boards were designed to be used on more powerful waves (kite provides the power in this case)....
