Re: Sun. dec.20 Flood sailing in Des Moines 51 degrees wind
The water level at Saylorville is about 30ft over normal pool. There are no good beaches or parking lots to launch from. Big Creek can be a better option.

Another use for a SUP
I just thought I would share this video of my three kids and two nieces wake surfing on a 10'6 Oxbow SUP. Something to do in the summer when the wind isn't blowing.

Re: Kiters In Des Moines...
I met these guys last night and I think we have them all squared away. Thanks for the heads up! We can use a few more kiters in Des Moines.

Re: Des Moines Dam Jam Pre windsurfing/kiting
Yes, a south wind is very kiteable on Saylorville at Oak Grove. Matt and I will be kiting tomorrow for sure although we are not windsurfers.

Re: Clear Lake/ Storm Lake / Okebena
We will be kiting at Saylorville tomorrow in Des Moines. The water is still fairly warm you don't need anything more than a shorty. SE wind is perfect for this lake. Tomorrow and Friday are looking really good. Oak grove is the launch if you decide to detour through Des Moines.

Re: Bar Pressure Reduction
Change the bar and kite from 2:1 to 1:1. The kite will be a little slower but it will have less bar pressure. I did this to my 11m T3 and I never have changed it back. I have never tried it on my 14m because I am afraid it will fly to slow. Give it a try it only takes a few minutes to convert it.

Re: Saylorville Kiting?
Today was the first day of kiting on Saylorville and the wind was nukin. If anyone is getting the itch to get on the water come on down. Sunday is looking good with a SE wind 14 gusting to 18 and a temp in the 60's.

Re: Saylorville Kiting?
I live right across the street from Saylorville and it is ready to go. Oak Grove is the place to launch from. The beach is big and it works for all directions (N, S, NW, SW, NE, SE). East and West don't work for Saylorville

Re: T3 problems
That might be my problem. I took the lines off one of my RPM bars that I wasn't using. I didn't even think that they might not be the same length.
Thanks!
Thanks!

T3 problems
I have a 14m T3, that I have had for several years. I am having trouble with it back stallling and the wing tips folding in when I power it up. The only thing I have done to the kite lately is change the lines and I am wondering if I might have messed it up. The only thing I can think I may have scr...

Re: GPS & Mapping
Have you checked out the shadow box (www.shadowboxlive.com)? I saw a demo of it on you tube and it looks pretty cool. They have developed an application specifically for kiteboarding. It will tell you how high you jumped and how many G's you pulled and all the data can be overlayed onto Google earth.
