BMX shops

Post by Woody »

Anyone know of a good BMX shop close to I35E? My son wants a BMX and we'll be passing through the cities on Thursday aft.

Thanks!

I do not, but there are bike people on this site so hopefully they kick in soon since you're leaving in a couple days. One cool local bike site I've been trolling lately is...

http://www.morcmtb.org/

I did some off-road cycling way back in my college days in Colorado and last summer picked up a new bike and have been educating myself on the local scene. Anyway, these folks for sure should be able to hook you up with a local BMX shop close to 35 and then some. Wavebb (Ben B) is a sailor/kiter who also rides bikes and is active on the bike forum. Good luck and good sailing!

There is a good BMX shop in Forest Lake. Trail Cycle, run by Dick, sponsors a few riders in this area. I bought my nephew a bike at his shop and Dick has redline and everything right up to the high end. Location is on the West side of HWY 61 at SW 8th Ave. intersection. Next to the Dollar Store in the little strip mall.

You will get good prices and personal service from Dick the proprietor.

There is a great Bike shop in Clear Lake Iowa as well (you pass Clear lake going to Saylorville), they dont carry allot of inventory so one would need to check before hand. There prices and services are the best - Lakeside cyclery is the shop (641) 357-4660 Steve sells the bikes and Russ does the servicing
