Mt.Rainier at Paradise visitor center

Post by Micky »

I will be snowkiting Mt.Rainier tomarrow for the first time. I have noone else interested in joining me from the puget sound kiting community. Wind will be from the south/southeast at 13 mph, steady. The forest rangers I spoke with earlier today said to come on up and were supportive about the kite related "snowplay" as they refer to it. There are'nt many snowkiters out here. What a shame.

Beam me over. What a waste of terrain, powder & blow! Wish we all could join you. We're finally getting a good base of ice on the lakes, but it is cold & calm this weekend. Trying to kite the soccer fields for now.
Have a blast! Hope you find some riding buddies.

3 hours of driving, treacherous narrow roads with slippery condtions all seemed worth it, but only to discover dead calm conditions. I got slapped!
