I had plans to go kiting with a girl I recentley met, this Sun, shes actualy a friend of Kiteboy who interdused her to kiting a while back and I'd like to keep her going. The wind doesn't look to good for Sun but if we go I'd like to find a place with safe ice close to Anoka. anybody know of anything? maybe Diamond Lake? Plus if any body has some womens skis or snowboard boots (not sure what size yet) I could borrow that would be great. I've got a decent board with sucky bindings for her. Skis would probably be better since thats what she learned on.
Thanks, This is for a great cause getting more women in the sport So if anybody wants to help me help a hot girl let me know. Did I mention she was hot. Not that that should make a difference though I'm sure You guys would help out just as much if it was an ugly dude, haha, right.
My wife has her old Hart Equipe SSL 185 Race skis that she does not use anymore if you or anyone else is interested. Solomon bindings would need to be adjusted for her boot.
I've got some K2 Public Enemy's 169 length she can use if you want. They are sick twin tip ski's and have a fair amount of width to them so they are very stable. The bindings are on demo tracks so they can fit just about any boot size. I live in Coon Rapids if you want to grab them.
I will be farting around at the blaine soccer fields tomorrow with Katie. Thinking around noon for us. Give me a call if you want them
I live in Coon Rapids off of Hanson near Bunker Hills. So i'm pretty darn close to Anoka. (10 minutes)
Thanks for the replies guys, I borrowed a set of skis and boots and a pair of snowboard boats from Adams wife. Since theres no wind we're just going to go to one of the slopes instead.
Nice job Dave! I hope the date...I mean lesson, goes well for both of you!
I also thought I would let you know that I bumped into Charney (ex BCI employee) in St. Louis Park and she wants to learn how to Kite, so I gave her your email address and phone number. Good luck
It was good seeing you there Steve and we had a great time, I can't beleive how expensive that place has got, makes you appreciate the free power of the wind.
