San Juan Vacation?

San Juan Vacation?
Planning the family winter vacation has been left up to me this year. I'm trying to find a family friendly place, good beaches, shopping and of course most importantly a place to Kite. Has anybody spent time in San Juan or have any other locations that they would recommend?

Hey Randy, since I left my Country I have been to Thailand, Korea, Venezuela, France, Spain, Belize, Holland, and I lived 1 year in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
Tips: If you have time to travel for 18 hours go to Thailand the beaches in the south are the best beaches that I have seen in my life and it is family friendly.
But, If you want to travel close to our home, Puerto Morelos, Mexico is the call! Just 3hours and 40 minute flight (Sun country or Champion air, worryfree vacations has the best deals) Puerto Morelos is 15 minutes from the Cancun Airport. It is a small fisherman town, caribbean water, SAFE and beautifull place to kite! super relaxing, not a lot people, good place for the family (tours that you can take them on- Xcaret or Xel-ha/Tulum)When you want to shop or see a little more action with the fam, just take a bus for 20 minutes and your are in Cancun or if you take the bus south you are in Playa del Carmen, 20 minutes too! Remember, if you want wind, DON'T go before Dec. 15 or don't go after 15 March.
