Boardhead cyclists?

First weekend in August there is a bike race in Grandview Wi ( near Cable) it's called the Firehouse 50 ( miles). I thought it might be kind of fun to enter a team of boardheads. I know Pat's interested anyone else?.
It's the biggest race in Wi usually there's 6 to 700 racers ranging from people that are so fast ( 1 hour 46 minutes) it's scary to normal humans who finish the race in 2 1/2 to 5 hours.
The goal would be to go and have fun and give us a reason to ride our bikes enough to be able to go 50 miles, maybe we could get together on a couple of windless days and do some group rides, at least we could talk about how much more fun we would be having if it was windy.
Anyone interested?

Some training rides sounds like fun. We should pick out some 50 mile rides and it. Keep me posted.
