On my way to Duluth

Post by Randy »

Finally, it's starting to look like we've got a real trend. Winds have been steadily building and I'm crossing my fingers for a late session today, but the best looks like tomorrow morning. If Tott Lott is ice free, we'll be sailing from there. Otherwise, Lester River will be the call. Any takers? My cell is 612-590-0970 and I should be up there by 4:30 and hoping for a morning session Friday.

epic session

New meaning to "sketchy"....jumping off rocks in 4 foot breaking surf, but what a thrill. Went out on 6M to find it was 5M, rigged down and went out on 5M to find out it was 4M. Only sailed for about 1 and a half hours, but definitely more worked than I've been in a long time. Davin got out for his first session on the big lake...definitely a taste of the extreme. If it's super strong tomorrow, we'll be sailing from Barker's Island...otherwise we'll go from Lester.
