I'm sick of the downtime i'm getting for my webpages....so i'm wondering who hosts there webpages and where. Costs isn't as much of an issue, i'm looking for great service and limited downtimes.
thanks
Ben

I use 'netfirms' for my website. I am not sure if they have what it takes to work for you, but I haven't encountered any problems. Then again, my needs are not terribly advanced for my website. http://www.netfirms.com
http://www.bohdancole.com is my site in the making.

oh, and by the way...although I have yet to meet you in person---as well as a lot of the kiting community for that matter---, I am quite impressed with your pictures that you have been taking of the kiting crew. nice work---very crisp shots!

Just call me Bo.
Thanks a lot for the credit. I am rider of many sports myself and I know what its like to not have photos to show your friends and family what you actually do. Everybody has been so receptive to letting me get out with them.
I have been around here for a while, but more of a lurker I guess. I grew up in waconia and found windsurfing in 1997 at the ripe old age of 15 and hit the lake every somewhat windy day all through highschool. The last few years I had been in college and really absent from the local scene. It's nice to be back up here and starting to get to know everyone again.
This is my first year kiting and I am getting the itch for some summer riding, I just have to get a few more session on the snow and i'll hopefully take to the water with limited issues this summer.

p.s. Thanks for the hosting tip. I'm hoping to make a choice this week.

Ben,
I use Siteground for my bb and photos site. http://www.siteground.com.
I have never experienced downtime and their customer support is awesome. They turn around service tickets in 15 minutes or less. Very impressive. I don't know if that is what you are looking for, but it would pay to check them out.

I use Go Dadday too. I have used several other hosts, and Go Daddy seems to have the least down time. I have had like 1 or 2 hours of downtime in 2 years with 3 sites.i use godaddy.com for my stuff. super cheap, lotta options
Tyson's right about the options. They can accomadate any type of situation. They have Unix or Windows servers.
I've never tried or needed to talk to support in person. Don't know if they are good for that. But I've never really needed it.
I use infinology.net for http://www.ewb-mn.org, they are cheap, have really good uptime, a lot of tools, and NO random advertisements.
I used to use godaddy.com, they are good, but they try to make money off you in as many ways as possible.
godaddy: "Would you like to purchase XYZ service with your order?"
me: *clicks no*
godaddy: "Are you sure you don't want XYZ service?"
me: *click NO*
goddady: "ok... how about now? are you sure you're sure??"
me: *dies*
