Why didn't anyone think of this before?

Slingshot just came out with a new inflation system for their kites. One valve does the whole kite. Boy that will make winter inflations a lot easier. Somehow you can also leave your struts inflated if you like as well.

So, THAT's what Motz was probably (not) talking about. sneaky bastard. And I thought the kite leash on my Naish X3's was a killer idea. (OK, it is a killer idea, too.)

Sounds interesting, but what happens when you get a leak somehwere? How do you find it? Fix it?

WTF?

From the look in Motz's eye it was some serious innovation in kite technology. Hopfully this is not what he was hinting at.

A kite that blows up a little faster!? BFD.

That's like saying you can order a MacDonalds quater pounder with 10 percent less fat.

Who cares?

What is the point?

When you have to blow up 7 struts, plus the main, that is a decent innovation.

But, yeah - inflation is a convenience. This obviously has no effect on kite performance... Still, a neat innovation.

BFD? WTF? Eric what has happened to you? You've been my positive, good energy, never a bad day idol for years.

Sure this may not be something that could save the world though I think it's pretty cool.

If you don't that's fine. I just don't understand the attitude.

Hope all is alright in Ericsville.

Sorry about the tone in my last post. We should keep the stoke high or keep our mouths in check. I think I had my hopes up too high and it was a let down for me. (actually I didn't have any clue what the "new thing" was going to be, I was imagining a revolutionary step forward in flight).

I'll keep it positive!
