My first good ride

Post by kirst »

I'm just getting into kiting and had my first good session on WBL on saturday and it's safe to say I am completely hooked. :) I was high on adrenaline for the rest of the day. I'm very excited to join a community of people who motivate me to keep getting back up and trying again and big thanks to my tireless teacher

I don't know who your tireless teacher was, but it's nice to know we're not the only people who think this kite thing is kind of fun.
Make sure you introduce your self around at the lake so we get to know you, no point having sick friends if we don't get to share the disease and stoke.

i was the tireless teacher- in that i was sprinting behind holding onto her harness untill she was able to ride and control alone. Fortunately it only took a few laps back and forth before she was able to fly solo. Nice job kirst! and thank heaven, cause i could hardly walk after that! total rush to see you going on your own though.

Sweet! Welcome to the clan. Don't be afraid to ask questions to other kiters on lake. The community helped me a lot when I was starting.

It's also nice to see that it's not so male dominated anymore. If you're looking for some company, there's a lot of women rippers getting together for the Kitegirl clinic this weekend here: http://www.mnkiting.com/joomla/

Kirst great choice in kites, you're already in my good graces :D
Denis is right there is a ladies clinic next weekend at Mille Lacs, I was talking to Tighe our local instruction guru and Lakawa web meister, he mentioned he ran a clinic last weekend and will be doing some more in weekends to come, so if you don't feel like going all the way to Mille Lacs and don't want to burn your bridges with Si, you can hook up with Tighe through Lakawa.
Good luck with learning this great sport and as I said make sure you say hi.
