WBL Labor Day

Post by Jim N »

Another stellar day on d'Bear!! Had a nice mix of Sailors & Kiters with the usual blend of idiots in power boats, pontoons, & jetskis, but we alll managed to co-exist. Sails ranged from 6.5 to 9.0 w/ kites around 12 to 17. As per normal it was alternatively gusty, holey, dead calm to raging, which made it all the more rewarding for a couple of apre'session brews.
Now if they'll get all the buoys out of the way, and the kiddies in school, WE CAN HAVE OUR LAKE BACK !!! :D j.N.

Yeah, it was a great day. Good wind, good friends.

The power boaters were out in force. My favorite was the drunk guy on a boat with a megaphone. Must have felt that public drunkenness on a motor vehicle wasn't good enough if he couldn't make sure everyone knew!

I'm with you on the removal of what I like to call "LAKE FURNITURE". Then my rank beginner self can try and get out my kite again without the worry of wrapping it around a dock, pontoon, etc...
