Rigging Question

Post by johnbaker17 »

I picked up a couple booms that don't have anything in the way of clasps for latching onto the mast. All they have is a curved spot on the inside and a variety of holes for threading lines. Can anyone shed some light on the proper way to attach these booms to a mast? I can provide pics if it would help.

slide on sail. position boom lying flat against mast. tension lines as tight as possible and cleat. when the boom is moved vertical to mast it will lock it in place. Chinook makes a conversion clamp on front end which will retro-fit these booms. check with Sean @ the HOUSE...they are pretty inexpensive.
