Anyone know of any good kiting spots in or near Telluride, Colorado. I will be there the first week of Jan and was considering taking my kites.

TELLURIDE

I have lived and spent alot of time in the Telluride region, there are two places I can think of to kite: The Red Mountain Pass area; which can be a sketchy drive in the winter, the area is south of Ouray on the San Juan Skyway, you will find a huge flat valley surrounded by 14,000 peaks. The other area is south of the town of Telluride ( about 20 minutes) in an area just east of Trout Lake ( another big flat valley area, near an area called: Lizard Head).
