Best Ice

Post by Cory M »

Might as well enjoy that black ice. Where's the smoothest sheet for blades? Kiteskated out of beach in Tonka Bay. Pretty good a bit out from shore. Always looking for better though. Waconia report?

thanks

Calhoun ice is smooth but beware there are patches of sheet ice that would probably stop a kiter on ice sckates, but our ice boards go right through without issue.

Also, there is an increasing amount of fish holes each day.

Thank you SpK for stopping and asking all of the ice fishermen if they wouldn't mind filling in their holes when they're done. How nice would it be if they would all actually do that!!!!

spk, Jerry B and myself were out with Mike D on Calhoun yesterday, along with about 4 ice boats and we made the Star Tribune.
