Pete: That's great! You don't need to worry about an O-ring.

My Mistral Explosion 120 liter DOES have a vent plug....and I haven't looked inside to see if there's an O-ring or not.

My "STINGER" (nice hard Plastic) doesn't have a vent plug either... Maybe your Explosion was made in the same year as my "Stinger."

I like the word, "Stinger!"
