Iowa is a lot closer than Padre if ya only have the weekend

It takes three days to drive to South Padre Island (two days to North Padre at Corpus Christi).

But it only takes three HOURS to get to Des Moines (sailing on Lake Saylorville) or Polk City for Big Creek Lake.

That wind is going to be HUGE in IOwa! Think about it: only three hours driving time as opposed to three days

driving to S. Padre.

This is Weekend doable. Or really one day!
