Yeah, Sunday when I came back to shore after a seven minute wind-shlog (with 10.8 meter sail), I took the
time to inspect some of the floating weeds in the water of Lake Pepin, (Wics. side). And to my surprise there were
about seven to ten small Zebra mussels clinging to the stem of this free floating weed! So, maybe this is one way
these little critters get around! They just piggyback ride on a weed and float downstream or upstream wherever!
Ahh, the descoveries one can make by just looking!
Quetzalcoatl out.
Oh,,, the winds will return. Just remember this is typical Minnesota summer weather,,you know the "Doldrums."
When the wind does come back you might first try to be ready for just 10-15 mph wind,,so have the gear ready for that!
It'll be nuking wind after that (like in October, November, early December?)
Kulkulcan out. We live fore the "Endless Summer."
Zebra mussles are Weed riders....I saw this...
