It's all about Latitude!...(attitude?) no... Latitude

Hey: Ya know Here in Minnesota in December it's dark by 4:30, but in South Texas (S. Padre to be Specific) it's still light
out at 6:00 pm. I've often been there windsurfing in the Laguna Madre (in Dec.) with plenty of light (sun still on horizon)
at 6:00 pm. South Padre Island is in the same Time Zone as Minnesota (even practically the same Longitud) but
it's the Latitude!! It's all about Latitude (not your attitude).
South Padre Island is at a latitude which is only about 180 miles from the Tropic of Cancer (which is the Northern border
of the Tropics). Just being 1500 miles due South of MN makes this nice big difference.
So that's just SO cool! (o en Espanol,,,es bien padre!!) Windsurfing in the the light at 6:00 pm in mid December!
