ice out on lake nokomis

Post by surfalex »

Drove by today, all the ice was pushed to the south side, 90% is open and sailable
Might refreeze, looks like some pretty chilly nights ahead
Calhoun was still 100% ice and snow covered

Thanks Alex! Maybe I'll get out there on Sunday if conditions are right. You'll be gone by then though so we won't get a chance to sail together.

Don't forget to keep in touch after you move out to the gorge!

Looks like Sunday wind is WNW. Does anybody know what accessing the water is like from the east side? Specifically, is the water shallow enough to step into with a rig along the east side?
