Re: Foil boards not allowed in certain races
I was at work so I didn't listen to the audio but I don't get how the title of the post relates to the video. Did one of the dudes lose because he couldn't relaunch his foil? If so, live by the sword, die by the sword:) I have read Matt's post and I don't see any problem as long as there are different rules, etc.. I kind of relate it to NASCAR and F1, etc.. They both are exciting in their own ways and need different rules and methods of racing.
On a side note, why was the guy sine waving his kite so much at 5:00 in the video? It seemed like there was so much wind that you would not need to bother.

Re: Foil boards not allowed in certain races
I posted this mainly because it is interesting to me that Foils have become important for Kite Racing. Also, the kiter who crossed the finish line first was OK with being disqualified. I thought that was cool..
It wasn't super windy, so Bryan Lake and others were trying to get the most they could out of the wind.
