Windy weekend ahead (Nov 5-6)

Post by Kevinousdigian »

Looks like Sat will be a nice SE day (Ramsey beach) and Sunday will be windy from W but a lot colder so enjoy Saturday and hopefully the rain will hold off.

SE wind would line up nice at Hok-Si-La park in Lake City (Lake Pepin). I've not tried this park before though, anyone else have experience kiting from this location?

Mark,

I think you might find yourself in a wind shadow at Hok-Si-La, check out my post on Sand Point in Frontenac State Park.

Cheers,
Chad

Didn't have room to pack the 8M 2010 RPM for SPI (which I could use today down here). If an experienced rider want to take it out you are welcome to contact me. Have fun!

Hi all

do you guys think that a 5mm wetsuit is enough for kiting this weekend?
( I spend considerable time in the water  )

Probably, but not overnight. Warmest water is the Mississippi, but no exit. Come over to Cannon and try out your suit.

Strong steady wind at the bear today and a great turnout for November. I had a lot of fun playing on the other side of the reef and was getting some nice updrafts in the corner.

Anyone hitting wb Sunday? I may hit Mahtomedi or Ruth around 10:30. Txt me if your interested 763.218.8154
