Staying local today

Post by scottman »

Anyone staying local today and riding this afternoon, if so where would everyone be riding, I think I'll hit the fields or Diamond Lake depending on the wind direction.

I'm going to check out Calhoun a little later like 10 or so. If the ice is bad, then I think 109th fields should be ok for a nw wind. Got called for work tomorrow so icefest in breezy is out..boooo George

I am thinking about Calhoun after work. With the couple light dustings we've had lately, it might be alright and usually stays bright from the city lights.

I'm going to give Forest Lake a try this afternoon. I know the ice is good just hoping some of the snow is bonding.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up,totally worn out and loudly proclaiming. WOW! What a ride!!

I rode Staring Lake in Eden Prairie from 3-6pm today. Yes, the lake butts up against a hill (South end is Flying Cloud Airport), but has EXCELLENT snow cover (2-3in) and is 14,000acres. The winds were consistent and provided a good time!

Mahto is mostly icy. Wind cleared off most the snow today.
