Lake Calhoun Conditions after Rain/Sleet

Post by markdbliss »

The beautiful surface conditions of Lake Calhoun sadly aren't the same as 2days ago. The 3-6 inches of fluffy powder has been melted and all that remains is a hard pack layer of ice with patches of sleet pellets and wind blown ridges. See the attached 2 pictures. Edging on skis would have been a challenge!

Hopefully we get some snow tonight and the wind howls tomorrow!
