LAKAWA riders challenge this week

Post by MK »

For the "W" & "K" of LAKAWA:

How many days this week can you ride?

Rules:
-Sunday to Saturday

If you rode yesterday you are already 1/7!

Winner gets a home made, hand crafted, undeniably unforgettable, mouth watering, life enriching, old fashioned, community developing, neighborly, loaf of bread.

2/2. Sunday on Washington, am session, Mon Ripley, great afternoon session, both Zephyr
& Door combos.
If we hit a morning session and an afternoon in the same day does that count as 2? This morning is looking promising.

2/2 hangin with Eric and crew on Mille. Closed Reddy down last night with Nate and I the only two left on the water for a sweet powered sunset session on 14m. Best sunset session of the year for me, warm, fan steady, sunshine texture off the waves with big glossy smooth sections between the waves -

Waconia tonight ?

3/3. 13m afternoon on a nice steady NW on Ripley. Tomorrow will work if it doesn't go to much N. If it does Washington is on the list. Hope everyone is getting theirs.

I ended up with 3/7. What a week of wind. I'm making bread now, you'll want to fess up on your rides last week, its worth it.

iwindsurf is showing some more of the good stuff this week. I'll run the challenge for the 2nd week. Does August always have this much wind?

I've heard of a few doing 6 of 7 and they are on a roll to do 8 or 9. What an incredible summer! I don't remember a summer with this much wind. Weekend after weekend of big wind. What a gift.

Decided to stay at Pelican as the wind built and I was set up. Had a great 2hr afternoon session and had all I could do to drag myself out of the water. Glad I stayed because Bryce showed up and put on a great show of airy antics. I was amazed with the kite choices as I rode a 17m Zephyr all day without feeling over powered and Bryce lit up on an 8m. He was fun to watch.

My tracking of this wasn't that great so I could use a little help with an ID of who to connect up with. It's been on my mind and I'm getting caught up on some responsibilities. Don't be shy and think you should keep quiet. I promise you'll enjoy it, guaranteed. Great beach side snack...beginning, mid, or end of session soul food.

Just made two more loafs this morning and the house smells great.
