self land question

Post by mattrau »

Hey guys, when landing my kite, in the shallows after a session, am I going to want to bring the kite to the edge of the window and then just pull on one of my outside lines? I am having a tough time getting the landing part right in my head, to be able to do it safely, and get to the kite without it trying to relaunch. Could you guys give me some simple instruction?

actually you want to pull on the upper (depending on which side) center line. The kite should just fall onto its leading edge.

In higher winds I would flag out the kite and walk up the single line to the kite.
