An All-Star Lineup Play to Benefit Local Music Photographer Jenn Barnett

The Honeydogs
The Mad Ripple (Jim Walsh)
Ashleigh Still
Erik Koskinen
Ryan Paul & THE ARDENT

have joined forces to play a benefit show for mainstay music show photographer Jenn Barnett. Jenn attends shows and photographs bands throughout the Twin Cities and recently became unable to shoot when her camera went on the fritz and then died.
When you don't have the right tools, it is impossible to make your art and everyone agrees:

"Jenn is golden, a huge asset for our community as a whole."
--Ed Ackerson

Proceeds from the show will be given to Jenn to buy a new camera so she may begin anew her undeniably indispensable job of documenting the Minneapolis music scene. Jenn has photographed a wide variety of bands over the years including some favorites listed here: Mayda, Idle Hands, Blue Sky Blackout, Friendly Fires, The XX, Willie's Guitars 20th Anniversary show, Sherwin Linton's 70th bday show, Slim Dunlap, Brianna Lane, Eliza Blue, Chastity Brown, Ryan Paul & THE ARDENT, Terry Walsh on Tuesdays at Nye's, the St Dominics Trio & Belfast Cowboys, Molly Maher and Her Disbelievers, The Bill Mike Band, Good Old War, Rebel Rebel Rock for Pussy, Wreckless Eric and Amy Rigby, King Khan and The Shrines, HoneyHoney, and so many more.
One of Jenn's favorite moments shooting was during an infamous Mad Ripple Hootenany:
".....shooting the Mad Ripple hoots with Jim, Brianna, Eliza, Slim and so many more. I photographed all of them and was introduced to so many talented musicians and new music and I'm so happy the hoot will be coming back to the beat in march 2010 so I can continue the tradition...."

And other memories from touring with the Honeydogs:
".....going with the Honeydogs to the 10000 Lakes Festival in the old RV to document the trip and show -- retro rv, football backstage, broken finger, matt hula hooping, giving jeff tweedy a hard time about all of his shirts, and a bunch of other stuff i can't mention..."

We have a fantastic line up, but encourage other musicians who would like to join in the benefit to contact us as well.
