I'll probably join you guys for the kiting, although I won't be camping on the ice. I have a couple friends who live in Isle, just south of the lake, so I'll plan to stay with them. (Besides, they stay at my place sometimes when they come down here for the weekend, so they owe me a favor. Plus, they'd just be happy to see me.)

The wind looks like it should be blowing nicely this weekend. There's a possibility of freezing rain, sleet, or other unpleasant things in the Twin Cities on Saturday, so I hope anything wet stays south of Mille Lacs.

Where do you guys plan to kite out of, anyway? Where would I meet up with everyone?

At Milly, Garrison would be a great launch pad with the east wind there talking about. Last minute informal gathering?
Could be epic people! :D

Hey Aaron,

My folks live near Lacrosse and two of my brothers go to the UW there. I'd be surprised if we don't run into each other on Lake Onalaska at some point. Also, I had a great (low-wind) session in the trempealeau refuge two weeks ago.

See you out there,

Bryce,

I'd be up there joining you on your transmille expedition, but I already have weekend plans- Winter Carnival Disc Golf Tourney. Figures... that's why it's windy. Have fun up there and hopefully it won't be as exciting as last year.

I'll see you guys up at Garrison on Saturday morning. I already have travel arrangements made and I've got the Jeep packed. (By travel arrangements, I mean that I'm just staying at my friend Paul and Amy's place Friday night).

If I can, I'll try to post a weather update here first thing Saturday morning if anyone is thinking about driving up then.

I'm stoked. :D
