I'm not too concerned. There is a lot of time between now and the Crossing. Two years ago Saturday of the crossing was glare ice, 35mph winds and horizontal snow. We awoke on Sunday to 8 inches of powder, blue skies and some of the best riding of the year.

Keep the faith. Mother nature will throw us a bone.

I am going regardless of the conditions. Tighe, I remember that crossing I had to leave the next day to go to Colorado and wasn't able to play in the POW. I will not let this happen this year!

If anything the Blue Goose partying will be great, we can take the place over again like we used to do!! Your right Tighe, that was the best, powder to play in it was awesome!!! I'm going to book for that weekend and stay Ithink Friday night and Saturday night at the casino or the Garrison Inn behind McDonalds.

Dave and I will also be at the crossing no matter what.

"I've got the room by the pool again. Stop by for a cocktail!....BSmith"

Hey, BSmith, we also requested a room by the pool at Garrison Inn and Suites, but they said they have not assigned the rooms yet. How do you rate? :)

I am planning to host the swap again this year (I'm always looking for good deals) but I have to do it in a format that happens at least an hour after dark so people can attend. Last year the only good wind happened at sunset on Saturday night. Perhaps we can have it Saturday night after dark, but there will be an awards ceremony if there is a race that day. Maybe Sunday AM before the racer meeting if the race happens on Sunday? I am open to suggestions: djmmunz@pitel.net (or on this chat, of course).

Will there be a Friday night welcome thing at the Y like last year? If not, Dave and I would also like to do the Friday night welcome thing at our hotel room (with BSmith?) like the first year we participated. --I'd like to support the Y, and they have lots more room, but they don't have a hot pool (you can change in our place). Maybe we can do both. Gee, hot pool, gather at the Y or dancing at the Goose? Hmmm. So much fun and so little time. One year, Dave and I stayed an extra day just so we could use the hot tub.

I am remembering last year, there was a car race on the ice happening at the same time as the Crossing and the owner of the Y, who was a racer, gave me the ride of my life in his racing car! What a guy. Wish I had a walky-talky in my helmet then, I would have been telling Dave what an incredible life experience I was having! On second thought, I would not have been talking at all. Way too cool to speak.

Getting "stoked".
