NON-GATHERING

IN SPITE OF BEING CANCELLED, we had quite a showing for the non-sanctioned, unofficial, not a gathering. Must have been a dozen vehicles out, both by the snow-pile & off the point. Skies went from blue to cloudy, & wind from puffy to a strong 15+. Every session brings more new faces along with different styles and approaches to the action. It was great sharing the day with everyone. Hope the official GATHERING is just as fun! See you then...

agreed. i took the opportunity to go out and try out a new rig on an old kite (failure) and meet some people (success). everyone was in good spirits, and the guy from the pioneer press seemed to have a good time watching everyone out there. if this is how you guys get together when events are cancelled, im gonna do everything in my power to make it to the *actual* gathering... anyway, i just wanted to say thanks to everyone i talked to for being so welcoming and i cant wait to see you guys out there again!

ps - thanks to whoever dropped the dr pepper on the *ice-road* out onto the lake, it was a pleasant (and much needed) surprise.
