Hey Seth and Michelle,

I will make the call tomorrow, wind looks good for Saturday and it should be lined up to come right down the river/lake. I will know more tomorrow night on my plans for the weekend and if Im camping at the grounds with all of you. Should be a great time.

Wow, this might be the best conditions we could have wished for. Tomorrow, sunny, high of 78, winds 15-25MPH, Saturday forecast, high 80 WINDY, 20-30 MPH, this will be to cool to miss (I know I am bias since I am organizing part of this event but if I was a wind junkie and lived close to Iowa I would make sure I'd be there.) Hope to see lots of familiar faces there, if you need a spot to pitch a tent or camp at, give me a call at five one five, seven 10 48 zero two. We got lots of spots set aside and they allow a camper + 2-3 tents per spot and 3-4 cars.

Saylorville Dam Jam took place this weekend, A full report will follow, with pictures and stories, but in short, we did 11 races over two days. We saw all conditions, from a glass lake with no wind until noon saturday, then it started blowing like crazy, we did 2 course races on a box course, then we switched to slalom racing, we completed 5 more slalom races on a 3 lap figure 8 course. Sunday we did another 4 course races in more moderate 12-18 MPH winds on a box course. Overall regatta winner was Robin Shaw followed by Don Altmeyer and Jeff Adamski. Link to complete scores below

Dash for cash race was held Saturday and it was the 2nd slalom race that Steve Johnsson won and took home the $100 cash. 2nd was Jeff Adamski and he won $70, 3rd was Brad "Woody" Woodworth from Canada and he picked up $50.

Below is a link to the complete scores. I am sure lots of pictures will follow since the slalom racing was right in front of the beach on Saturday in pretty windy 20-25 MPH, with gusts over 30 at times.

Saturday night was a hoot at the Saylorville Marina Harbor Grille, they had a banquet pork BBQ that was amazing ready for us at 6:30. Jemstate rocked the stage for us until they were told to shut around 10:30. Everyone had a great time and the weather could not have been any better. Canadians and Minnesotans dancing on tables and making the whole marina glow in good times. What a weekend, thanks everyone for coming and having a good time.
