Kite Nite ?

Post by Portland Pete »

Seattle has a strong group of die hard kiters not unlike here in Minnesota.

However, without the support of the Seattle Kitesurfing Association (SKA)
beginners would have to learn about kiting from a book.

SKA runs a Kite Nite which is a great program and safely
promotes the sport as well as launch access and community.

Also, with the discovery of Jetty Island in Seattle
the sport now has a home that is kitable almost every warm day.

Has this Kite Nite idea been tried here in Minnesota ?

That would be great! Everytime I thought about a way to make it happen the hurdles seemed too large. If you figure out a way to make it happen, I know I could help you get some support from manufacturers.

good luck and let me know what I can do.
