It's looking like some good northly winds on Saturday which is perfect for St. Mary's beach (or whatever it's called). It's a nice sandy launch although you need to unload and park a block away. I'm hoping to sail there Sat. afternoon. Just need grandma to watch the kids but they live close to there.
Anyone else up for it?

Drove over I-94 this morning. Still a lot of ice down by St. Mary's. That still leaves the Hudson Marina. One area I haven't checked out yet would be some of the North Hudson launches (Brown's Beach and the Fairy Landing). If the river is open North of the Hudson Marina the other lauches would provide better conditions in a N wind. I'll probably check it out on my way home tonight.

I think the bandshell is just north of the old railroad bed that now is a walking path sticking out into the river. There was ice in that bay last week. The marina launch is just south of that and may have a wind shadow on a north wind. I've only sailed it on south.
I'm thinking to leave here around 10-10:30 and chech out Beanies and take another look at St. Marys. If neither works then look at the marina.
We could still make it to Pepin by 1-2
