Swans swimming on Big Creek Lake, IA yesterday.....

In afternoon live web cam (around 4:00pm) Trumpeter Swans were enjoying a late Sunny January afternoon on the lake!

They were in the Beach view cam and the Marina view cam. Wow...in January...don't Swans fly South for the Winter?

Well...maybe Middle Iowa is South enough for them.

I'm sure in a few cold days...this lake will freeze over again. But probably not very thick and not for long. It'll be easy to break up again.

For today...it's still mostly liquid water.
