Calhoun Public Hearing tentative 4/12 attend if you can

Post by Chummers »

The public hearing on the Lake Calhoun Master Plan is tentatively scheduled for 4/12 so please try to show up and speak out against the move of the TWO boat launches to the north side of Calhoun which will ruin our launch site! Below is the information I received from project mgr Deb Bartels. Please note you need to sign up in advance to speak at the hearing.

"There is a signup sheet outside the Board room the night of the hearing. You can also contact JGoodrich@minneapolisparks.org in the week before the hearing.

With a public hearing, we will send out over 12,000 postcards and there will be a public notice in the Star Tribune. Also if you sign up for project emails, you will be notified when the hearing is scheduled. We are hoping for April 12, but we have a lot of work to do.

6:30 pm time certain at MPRB HQ at 2117 West River Road

Yes it is a hearing for the purpose of taking public comment. We ask that people sign up to speak. I think the sign in sheet is available until @ 5 minutes before the hearing opens. The length of time each speaker gets will depend on the number of those who sign up"
