Open Water Reports Requested

Can somebody post if Nokomis or any other metro lake is open?

Calhoun has too much water around edges to get to the ice, except for south side where as of Sunday 3/7 one could still walk out onto the ice.

I'd bet two barrel nuts (from a windsurf fin) that areas downstream from Hudson, (on the St. Croix) Wisconsin is opened up for some good windsurfing or kiteboarding.
Like launching from St. Mary's beach lot?
This area below the I-90 bridge (downstream) could be considerd "metro area?"

Check it out this Tues. or Wednesday, because it's gonna be cold on the weekend again. If windsurfing, use a weed fin to "slice through" those debris fields.

I heard Nokomis is now open (too bad it kinda sucks to sail on).

Calhoun is partially open, with enough water on north side to sail on, but by the end of today the ice will probably be blown to the north side, leaving the south side open.

Lake Independence is open. Looks like Medicine Lake only has some slush left near Harty's Boat Works:

I'd bet Cannon is open since the lake across the street opened already.
